DJI A3 – Reliable and Accurate Flight Control
The most advanced DJI flight controller yet, the DJI A3 has been designed for professional and industrial applications, where reliability and the ability to customise are essential. This flight controller, designed for DJI’s professional frames such as the DJI Matrice 600, uses multi-sensor fusion algorithms to improve the A3’s control accuracy and is SDK compatible to enable industry experts to personalise and customise their aerial system to suit their needs.
As advanced as this technology is, DJI have simplified the DJI Assistant 2 which makes it easy to setup the complete DJI aerial solutions. It has an integrated flight simulator where you can practice complex maneuvers without risking the aircraft.
Features
- Triple Modular Redundancy: if you upgrade the A3 to the A3 Pro then the flight controller will have three IMUs and three GNSS units which will give you a total of six redundancies. This, combined with advanced diagnostic algorithms ensures that there will be backup units if a GNSS or IMU fails in-flight, giving you peace of mind and trust in the reliability of your aircraft
- Precision Fault-Tolerant Control: the advanced algorithms allow the A3 and A3 Pro to be compatible with and adapted to a range of aircraft without having to manually tune. The A3 control system also enables the aircraft to land safely, even in the event of a propulsion system failure or problem
- Complete Industry Solutions and SDK Compatibility: the A3 series form part of a complete industry solution when combined with D-RTK GNSS, smart ESCs, intelligent batteries and the Lightbridge 2. They have both Onboard and Mobile SDKs which allow custom-designed applications to access flight data and control the aircraft, gimbal and camera. They have CAN and API ports which enable industry experts to craft their perfect aerial system by adding actuators and sensors
- Ground Station Compatibility: the intuitive ground station supports both touch screen and mouse and keyboard inputs and supports mission design that can be used for a range of applications. Using the Ground Station you can manage and monitor several aircrafts’ mission implementations and plan formation flights
- D-RTK GNSS: The A3 can be used with the D-RTK GNSS for centimeter-level accurate positioning, compared to a normal GPS and barometer. It uses dual antennas which make its heading reference more accurate than a compass sensor. It’s also able to withstand magnetic interference from metal structures
- Datalink Pro Compatible: this Datalink Pro can be integrate with the A2, D-RTK and Ground Station and allows up to 5 aircraft to be controlled from one base station. It has a range of up to 2km and in ‘broadcast’ mode can broadcast data to up to 32 mobile devices. Alternatively, a ‘duplex’ mode keeps the data locked to one device only
