Drone flight planning and conditions for applying for flight permission
Before every drone flight, always check local restrictions, permitted altitude, temporary notices and safety requirements.

Check the Estonian drone map to see where you may fly and which conditions apply in a particular area.
What should you check before a flight?
- local flight restrictions and maximum altitude;
- people, buildings, roads and other sensitive locations;
- temporary restrictions and NOTAMs;
- weather, battery, visibility and the drone’s technical condition.
Do you need permission to fly?
Some flights require only compliance with the applicable rules, while certain areas or conditions may require coordination or permission from the competent authority. The remote pilot’s qualifications, operator registration and permission for a particular flight are separate matters to consider.
